She grew with him and he absolutely doted on her, giving her everything she could ever want. He allowed her to find who she is as a person, and then when the time was right, he made his move. He spent a year giving her everything she wanted. The age-gap may not have been right, but you can’t help who you fall in love with.
I loved how Maximo knew that it was wrong to want her and how he waited a year for her to turn 18. I enjoyed the threats that they faced and how it all stemmed from Shamus. It was a good blend of a mafia plot alongside the developing relationship between Maximo and Juliet. I loved her growth and development through this book. She was tough after everything she’d been through, but she was also innocent and naive. I’m not the biggest fan of the Daddy kink, but holy hell, I’d call him Daddy without a second thought. He was caring, tough, demanding, dangerous, possessive and charming all in one. The story was brilliant and I loved the characters.
